According to the company OAC, in 2025 the construction of the first space hotel will begin; however, its operation is planned for 2027, two years later, another big announcement has been made regarding a space project. The Orbital Assembly Corporation (OCA) has not provided details on how much a one-night stay at the said hotel could cost but has assured that construction costs have been cheaper due to reusable launch vehicles such as the SpaceX and Falco 9, to which the participation of Starship will be added.

Likewise, the round-trip flight is ensured for each of the users who intend to stay in the Voyager hotel rooms.

In total, the Voyager station will have 24 modules of 20 × 12 meters, which could even be sold to agencies such as NASA and ESA. The idea of ​​OAC is to lease or sell the rooms of the space hotel to governments, private companies, or institutions dedicated to research.

On-site, tourists will feel a gravity similar to that felt on Mars (40% of that felt on Earth) thanks to the station’s perpetual rotation. Regardless of whether researchers will actually want to make steady and feasible fake gravity in space stays not yet clear. Solar panels will be liable for providing the station with power.

The Voyager Station will take shape through individual capsules – some will be made available to NASA for research – linked together to form a structure similar to that of a Ferris wheel. The hotel will be able to go around our planet every 90 minutes, thanks to the artificial gravity generated by the rotation of the circle.
