"Spider-Man: No Way Home": the first trailer of the film finally unveiled
  • Tom Holland and Zendaya, in their roles as Spiderman and MJ, is joined by Benedict Cumberbatch, again as Doctor Strange
  • The tape was leaked in networks, so Sony decided to share it officially this Monday
  • Old villains such as Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin will also return.

Perhaps due to the connection with Tom Holland, known for revealing spoilers for his films, the trailer for ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’, the third installment starring the British, leaked into networks earlier than expected by Sony and Marvel.

Given what happened, both companies decided to officially reveal the advance of the film, whose premiere in the United States is scheduled for December 17 of this year – although it has already been delayed due to the pandemic.

The long-awaited third installment of the trilogy directed by Jon Watts will again feature Holland, playing Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spiderman, as well as Zendaya, who plays MJ, his classmate and -from the second film- girlfriend, the role that also fulfills in real life.

They are joined by Benedict Cumberbatch in his role as Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange will accompany Peter Parker between the multiverse and the new threats.

Since his identity was revealed in ‘Spider-Man 2: Far From Home, Peter Parker seeks the help of Stephen Strange to solve it.

The magician casts a spell to make the world forget about the big reveal, but everything spirals out of control and madness breaks out in the multi-universe.

This causes old villains of the saga to reappear on Earth. Thus, Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) makes his long-awaited appearance alongside Electro (Jamie Foxx).

This is what the new version of Doctor Octopus looks like.

It is also speculated that other characters such as Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin – whose laugh is heard and the appearance of one of his famous grenades in the trailer – return to the big screen. Even with the previous Spiderman, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, making a cameo.

Marvel producer Kevin Feige revealed that this film, directed by Jon Watts, is part of phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It will be followed by the film ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, which will be released in March 2022.
