Spider-Man actor Tom Holland spoke with Entertainment Weekly in an interview in which Holland claimed that if his Spider-Man solo film series were to continue.
The features would be vastly different from the three he’s starred in so far. Remember, Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 16 and will feature the returns of Tobey Maguire and Andrey Garfield.
“I think if we were lucky enough to dive into these characters again, you would see a very different version. It would no longer be the “Back Home” trilogy, Holland said.
“We would take some time and try to build something different and change the tone of the films. Whether that happens or not, I don’t know. But we were definitely treating (No Way Home) like it was coming to an end, and it felt like it was. “
The Homecoming trilogy includes Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Away from Home, and the next No Way Home. In addition to these films.
Holland made his debut as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, and also made appearances in Avengers: Infinite War and Avengers: Endgame.
Star Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, who play Mary Jane and Peter’s best friend Ned, appeared in all three films. According to Holland, the last day of shooting for the next feature was an emotional day on set.
“We had such an amazing relationship, the three of us. We’ve been with each other every step of the way. We did all the movies, all the press tours.
If this were the last time, we would all be working together. (It was) moving, but also very exciting, because we’re all moving into the next chapter of our careers. So sharing that moment with them was perhaps the best day I’ve ever had on set. I don’t think I’ve ever cried like that,” said Holland.
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in December

With the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrey Garfield, as well as their respective villains, and probably (according to leaked spoilers) another undisclosed Marvel character could appear in the film.
According to Sony, “Spider-Man – No Return Home” debuts on December 16th of this year.
